Commercial volume sites that arrange safaris have their place, but ILA isn't that. ILA started out by helping friends and family with their travel to Africa. We operate on a small scale and providing individual attention and unique experiences is our DNA.

No groups. No set departures. We don't have marketing staff on payroll. After all, ILA started out by helping friends and family with their travel to Africa and even now, our bookings come by word of mouth and references. Every year we take only 100 travelers to Africa. If you're on a trip with ILA, you're among the special few going this year. Transparency
With us - you’ll know exactly what you’re getting. For example, each lodge may have different accommodation types, different service levels [Chalet, Suite, Riverfront/View, Premier, Eco, ...]. The pricing and service for the different levels varies. Many safari operators just provide the lodge information to you without the details. At ILA, we provide you with full information on the properties in your itinerary including the accommodation type and what’s included and excluded so you’ll have no surprises.
Value
Because we work only with a few providers and lodges, we are able to provide extremely competitive pricing. We compete on price with just about everyone: even you! If you booked the same accommodation, transport and activities yourself, our price would be the same or lower.Important - Africa is full of wonder and surprises. We want your surprises to be beautiful that put a smile on you and not the other kind. If someone is giving you better rates - be sure to check all the details closely to understand exactly what you’re getting and why the rates are different.There may always be cheaper options - would those work for an amazing trip?

From the initial planning stage, doing the bookings and even during during your trip - we're there to ensure your trip is everything you want it to be. Turning Down
You're on holiday - we will never offer an itinerary that could interfere with your relaxation and enjoyment. If we feel the itinerary/experiences you insist on has the potential to cause inconveniences or fall short of expectations, we will turn you down. Whether it’s a cheaper alternative or packing too much in the agenda, the “Yes” men may be eager to take your money and lock you on a trip that may become unpleasant. We aren’t “Yes” men [and women :-) ].
Conservation Focus
We work exclusively with providers and lodges that are actively involved on the field in conservation. Our providers are usually in the know of wildlife movements and we can help improve your chances of great sightings. On your trip, you'll directly interact with staff playing a critical role in protecting the environment and directy contributing to anti-poaching, reducing human-animal conflict, preserving habitat, etc. Your visit will benefit the broader conservation efforts. Sorry - we don’t do trophy hunting trips - even the discrete ones.
